Our new family photo. What I love about this photo is that we took right here in Westhills where we live. We literally just walked 5 minutes from our house to this beautiful spot and capture our little family. I really do love everything about where we live. We feel so lucky to have so much right at our fingertips. From neighbourhood friends, to walking trails, playgrounds, beaches, library, stores and coffee shops all within walking distance. Loving where you live is ...so important. We moved here three years ago and don’t regret it at all. Now we simply moved from across town but our neighbourhood was not kid friendly. Still in amazing Langford but our street didn’t have sidewalks and our driveway was so steep if we tried to play with sidewalk chalkwell if you let go it just rolled right down onto the road. Now we just walk out our front door and we have friends to talk too and play with. I love that we can sit on our front porch and read and do school work and have chats and say hello to everyone walking by. It’s such a friendly place. I love that in the covenants for Westhills it actually says front porch must be in conversational distance to the sidewalk. Well they got that right! haha And for memiss chatterbox and my daughterwell this is often very distracting for us. haha I love my neighbourhood. I love my family. We are truly at home here. Oh andI have an amazing studio right here in Westhills! Do any of my long time clients remember my old studio and old driveway? I was always worried it would send a mom to be into labour walking up it! Do you love where you live? Where does the time go? In a blink of an eye she will 18 and moving out to live with friends and get a Pomeranian. But I wonder when she will stop letting me photograph her? I hope never. There’s a lot I could write. I’ve done about three drafts, but they just go on and onthere’s so much I could reflect on over the craziest year of our lives. We will not soon forget 2020. The good and the bad and the sad. But the only real thing that’s important is what is happening in your home. I hope you are happy. I hope you are safe. I hope you feel love. I hope the world is kind to you in 2021. ... Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year. Let’s make 2021 betterin every way.

This Christmas has been a different one that is for sure but instead of thinking of Christmas as being cancelled we chose to think of it as being a quieter Christmas. By staying home hopefully it means we will get to be with our families sooner in person. From our family to yours we wish you a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
