With the early spring warmth and a touch of rain the perennials are looking good. It's time for me to start getting my sales stock ready!

The farm today! The Charlie-Brownest snowflakes ever! And the perfect time to announce that our Christmas trees will be ready for pick up at the farm next week..., by appointment. Our trees consist of white spruce, black spruce and balsam fir, but they are not grown in the usual tree lot fashion. We've allowed these to grow where they were naturally planted and then carefully pruned for the past 6 years. We call them "Pikangikum trees" because this is our fundraiser for a very worthy cause. After hearing about the poverty that exists in our own province of Ontario, especially among First Nations communities, we chose Pikangikum as the recipient, year after year, of the money collected from the sale of these trees. More details to follow in upcoming posts. We have 26 trees selected of various sizes. $25 each. A chickadee experience is sure to accompany your visit here and there will be treats for the kids! If interested please direct message me. The trees will be cut this weekend. The freshest trees around! Farm is located 8 minutes south of Maple Leaf, Ont. #Christmastrees #notforprofit #Pikangikum #firstnations #givingback #bancroftontario #farmfresh #hastingshighlands #charliebrownsnowflakes
