Anne Marie D'Amico was one of 10 people who lost their lives in last year's Toronto Van Attack. Inspired by her character and in remembrance of her spirit, Nick D'Amico and his family started a foundation in Anne Marie's honour. The Turtle Project will be the foundation's inaugural event. Proceeds will go to the North York Women's Shelter. Held December 3 on Anne Marie's birthday, the evening will be MC'd by comedian Mike Carbone and will include a variety of dance performanc...es, live music, and magic from international award winning magician and mentalist, Mike D’Urzo of Mega Magic. Mayor John Tory will be in attendance among the 900 expected guests. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.damicofoundation.org/events

Join the ecumenical family in celebrating the Season of Creation (Sept 1-October 4). We recognize the ecological challenge as a major threat facing the world today. Responding to this crisis is an integral part of the Church's mission. On October 4, we come together as members of the Web of Life, relishing the beauty of our diversity. Come and experience contemplative prayer and music that soothes the soul. We will have an eco-centered liturgy and a time to be together for ...refreshments and conversations. Please RSVP here: https://feastofcreation.eventbrite.com
Whether or not you sense a call to become a supervisor, you will appreciate this 3 day opportunity to develop individual and peer group supervision skills, build community and share contemplative silence. If you know of a spiritual companion, therapist, spiritual care provider, pastoral care or health care worker who would benefit from contemplative supervision, please invite them to join us. Perhaps your entire peer supervision group would benefit from this opportunity to... more fully tend to the depths in one another. Application form available at: www.ontariojubilee.ca For more information email: [email protected] Please RSVP by September 13th.
