Our upcoming workshop Ancestral Voice is being led by the incomparable Rabbi Diane Elliot. Rabbi Diane Elliot enjoyed a 30-year career as a modern dancer, award-winning choreographer, improviser, movement teacher, and somatic movement therapist before training for the rabbinate. Currently based in the Bay Area, Diane’s work continues to unfold as a spiritual teacher, ritual leader, dancer, writer, and teacher of Body-Mind Centering. She seeks to inspire her students to bec...ome clearer channels for Presence through awareness and movement practices, dance, chant, and nuanced interpretations of sacred text. For seven years she directed the ALEPH Alliance for Jewish Renewal’s Embodying Spirit, En-spiriting Body leadership training program and she continues to work to bring the essential wisdom of the Jewish path to diverse Jewish and interfaith groups. Mascall Dance is excited to announce the return of Rabbi Diane Elliot and the Ancestral Voices Workshop. Join us for an online weekend workshop from February 5th - 7th, 2021 with Rabbi Diane Elliot. Ancestral Voices is an exploration of the origins and structure of voice in the body, opening internal channels to express and integrate the many voices of our ancestral lineages, as they want to come through each of us in present time. Embodied anatomy and physiology, improvisat...ional dance, Authentic Movement, singing and sounding, writing and conversation will be our doorways in. This workshop is open to all levels of voice and movement experience.
