National Muslim Organizations including MAC, ICNA, ISNA and Justice for All, sent to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a joint letter last Thursday sharing their co...ncerns about the recent events in France and denouncing the actions of the French government restricting the religious freedoms of the French Muslim community. They expressed their fear of the repercussions of the incidents in France and statements made by politicians including the French President and the Canadian Foreign Minister, on the rise of Islamophobia against Canadian Muslims. They condemned the sensless murders in France confirming that these murderers do not represent Islam and Muslims. They requested the Canadian government to call for de-escalation and help promote real national cohesion and call on the French government to refrain from polarizing identity politics. They reiterated that all human rights are equal and that we must protect and defend these universal values. See more

So he said: "Oh Allah forgive for A'isha her former and later sins, their secret and public". A'isha (RA) laughed until her head fell into her lap from laughter. Allah's messenger (PBUH) said to her: "Are you pleased with my invocation?" She said: (Why shall I be not pleased with your invocation?) " " . . " " . " " . Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger () as saying: "Do you know what is backbiting?" They (the Companions) said: Allah and His Messenger know best. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: "Backbiting implies your talking about your brother in a manner which he does not like." It was said to him: ‘Supposing that what I said about my brother was true?’ He said: If what you say about him is true you have backbitten him and if it is not true you have slandered him.

Visited Masjid Toronto today to show my support for Toronto’s Muslim Community and to demonstrate my commitment to fighting against the hatred and violence that... the community and its Mosques have endured over the past several weeks. The Muslim Community and Mosques are inherently known to be people and places that promote peace, compassion and kindness. They are meant to be safe spaces. Any attack or threat against a Mosque puts all of that at risk. There is no place for this type of violence against any community in Toronto. The way to fight this is by coming together and showing our solidarity to a community in need. And we will do just that.
