Masks for Doctors and Nurses 02.11.2020

Our group continues to deliver whenever we can help to fight COVID. Today, we made delivery of 100 face shields to the Emergency Department at Royal Columbian Hospital and disinfectant supplies (CaviWipes) to the COVID testing centre in Port Coquitlam. Once again, many thanks to our donors and volunteers. Next up, COVID testing centre in Burnaby and long term care facilities in the Lower Mainland. ... Residents in long term care facilities remain at the highest risk during this coronavirus pandemic. Since local hospitals and COVID treatment sites reportedly have healthy inventory of face masks, our group would like to direct our attention to long term care facilities. We have purchased 500 boxes (of 50 masks each) of disposable masks and would like to support local long term care facilities. Please comment below if you know any long term care facilities needing masks for their care givers or residents. Thank you.

Our team of volunteers making a donation delivery to the Richmond Hospital Emergency Department. These face shields and safety goggles provide an extra layer of protection against the airborne coronavirus and keeping our frontline healthcare workers safe. Thank you to all the healthcare workers for keeping B.C. healthy.

**Safe Care BC urgently need your help!** Hello Dr. Wu, Thanks for the generous offer this is really amazing. We’ll take whatever you can offer!... To give some background: We’re running Operation Protect, which solicits donations from individuals and organizations. Once we get those donations, we send a portion to the Provincial Health Services Authority, and they send the supplies across the province to those most in need. We keep some of those supplies and give them out to those in desperate need in long-term care, home care, community support, assisted living, and independent living. We define desperate need as three or fewer days until their supplies run out. We’re frequently receiving emails that some of these organizations have zero masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and so on. If you have some supplies available, we’d could certainly use them. Thanks kindly, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Rhys https://www.safecarebc.ca
