Updates from Masks for Mish

I have been delinquent while I've been easing back into work. Also, both my machines started having tension issues so they are in the shop. I'm hoping to have one of them back within a few weeks. Thank you to my neighbours and patients at The Wellness group in Aurora: The Kerr Family, Marie El Tenn, Anna Maria Hunt, Sarah, Alysha, Heather, Meg, Cascindra Kawczynski for your purchases. A continual thank you to Dr. Marilena Carano for having the masks for sale in your offic...e! I have another $733 in the account. So this effort has earned $2733 for True North Partnership to date. Thank you all for your support, for wearing masks that keeps our community safe, while also supporting these communities in the north.

We’re self isolating at home today because I’ve had a cold for a few days. My boy is healthy but happy to have a few days off school. Even though he is only gone for a few hours a day and I know he goes to a safe place, I am still grateful for any time I can have him home to myself. Today as a family we remember the many children who were taken from their families and we honour them. Today we remember the many children who didn’t make it home. Today we remember the chil...dren who made it home and survived. Today we remember the parents and families who had to watch their children go for years at a time knowing where they we’re going was not safe. Today I pray that our Country, that used my Lord’s name to do evil, will acknowledge the evil, learn the truth, do better and work towards reconciliation. Because it’s not over with the closure of the schools. Generational trauma still exists. Racism still exists. It’s worth the effort to learn and do better because Every Child Matters.
