Hello Family and Friends, It's come down to this. The final 24 hours. There will be a new leader elected or incumbent leader re-elected. I want to thank you all for listening to my words and believing in my vision for the community. You have given me hope in the future of Behchoko. I have had fun, it has been an adrenaline filled couple of weeks. I believe we have accomplished so much in this campaign. When I first put in my name on May 18th it has always been people first. T...he focus was healing the community. Looking at the communication, homelessness, the youth, the people suffering with addictions. I believe because of our campaign we changed the narrative of this election. We made those issues front and center and got people talking about it and created dialogue around these issues. But I believe we can go further. The person you elect will represent you for the next four years. They will be the lifeblood of the community, the person leading the charge. Now I really want you to sit down and think. Get rid of all the opinions from your family and friends and look deep into your heart and ask yourself one simple question. Who will change our community? I have gone to many household and spoken to a number of people about their issues. I wrote everything down in my notebook because I really value the input that I received. You poured your heart out to me and I will always cherish the trust that have given me to push your opinions forward. I want to make your vision a reality. I want to encourage you all to go out and vote. Bring your friends, your cousins, your parents, your grandparents. Make your voices heard. Masi Cho, Mason Mantla We are the future.
