It’s official! Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer has now allowed Registered Massage Therapist to provide treatment. I’m working hard to meet all the necessary pr...ecautions and protocols to protect my clients and myself. I will be re-opening on Monday June 8th only working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm to slowly insure the safety of my clients. I will be increasing my hours as we go. The College of Massage Therapy of Ontario has given us guidelines to see less clients then our regular work days. We need to start slowly to prevent the spread. In order to ensure the safety of my clients and I, I have implemented a new set of policies and procedures. I want all of my clients to feel very comfortable and safe while coming in for their treatments. CMTO RMT COVID-19 Policies and Procedures Pre-Appointment Screening * All clients must complete a COVID-19 screening at the time of booking their appointment, before entering the clinic. The screening will be sent by email or over the phone and can be provide at the clinic upon arriving. Office Protocols * We ask that all clients wear their own facial masks when attending your appointment. The facial mask must cover our noes and mouth and can be a surgical/procedure facial mask. * At this time, I will not be accepting cash. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Debit and E-transfers will continue to be accepted and of course direct billing. * We ask that everyone follow all social distancing measures when possible. * All clients will be informed of any public health measures that have been implemented in advance of the appointment. Arriving For Your Appointment * Please knock on the door or wait in your vehicle before entering the clinic and I will open the door. * Please arrive to your appointment alone unless a parent, guardian or support person is needed and close to your appointment time as possible. * Please ensure that you are wearing a mask before entering. If the client cannot wear a mask (e.g. due to a health condition or difficulty breathing), the RMT must use their professional judgement to assess the risk of providing or continuing treatment. * You will be directed to wash your hands in the washroom or use hand sanitizer approved by health Canada upon entering the office. Although there are currently no active cases of the COVID-19 virus in Timmins and the surrounding areas I am taking additional precautions within my clinic. In addition to regular standard hygiene procedures I will be asking all patients to wash their hands with soap and water prior to treatment. Patients are asked to reschedule their appointments if they have any of the following symptoms; Fever New cou...gh Difficulty breathing If you are experiencing these symptoms you should contact your healthcare provider or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 for guidance. The Canadian Government is asking anyone who has travelled outside of Canada to Self-isolate themselves for 14 days upon returning. If you have recently travelled internationally (including the USA) please schedule or re-schedule any appointments to fall outside of this 14 day period. As mentioned above there are currently no active cases of the COVID-19 virus in Timmins and surrounding areas and as per the Porcupine Health Unit the risk to residents in this area is low.
