These four digits indicate the week of the year and the year of production itself. Treadwear rate. Treadwear label with a number next to it can be seen on the tire sidewall. "Invisible" Nail in the Tire Once a client contacted us due to the fact that a tire was constantly deflating. Two auto repair shops that she had gone to in the past could not find the reason it kept happening. The tire went down, and why heaven knows! We managed to detect the reason in a non-standard way. We increased tire pressure to maximum and applied soapy water to its surface. And it worked - we discovered our "invisibility" by the bubbles ... It was a nail that entered the tire and made an air leak. The difficulty was that the nail entered along the tire tread and could not be detected easily with a naked eye. As long as the car did not move, everything was fine. But every time when it started, the tire was deflating. We removed the nail and patched the puncture. So, the owner drives a safe car now.
