We would like to express our sincerest thank you to all our customers, pet lovers and members of our local community for reaching out to us after learning about the proposal to rezone and develop 2 Howard Park Ave, site of Master Mechanic High Park. We have been a tenant at this location for over 22 years. This community is our family, and this business is a community hub. If it wasn’t for Brad J. Lamb (Landlord), we would be continuing to serve you for many years to come. Th...e Landlord advised us that he would provide adequate notice of his intentions for this location and even gave us hope that he would potentially extend our lease. It was shocking and disingenuous for us to discover his intention for his proposed development through customers and the through the City Counsellor’s office of Gord Perks. Brad was not forthcoming and transparent with us. Legally, we understand the Landlord is at liberty to do what they want with the property, provided that the community accepts this proposal to rezone and develop. We wish they would have provided us this information in advance to inform our customers and our community and to avoid all the upset this has caused. Being here means everything to us. It has given all of us the opportunity to be part of something special. In this amazing community we have been honoured to provide a service that all of you have come to rely on. We have celebrated together, we have helped each other, we have raised awareness and funds for many charities. We have experienced so many beautiful memories and witnessed many acts of kindness which has inspired us to be more than just a business. Here is what we currently know. We have a lease until January 31, 2024. Until then, we promise to continue to serve you and support this community with our heart and soul. We will also continue to do everything we can to find another way to stay within this community for many years to come! That is our main goal right now and we hope you will stand with us as we explore our options. Please stay tuned, we need some time to let this heartbreaking news sink in and plan for what is coming next. We appreciate and love you all! See more
