Are you looking for a new book to dive into? Master Rim has been very busy putting these past few months putting the final touches on a Taekwondo textbook, expected to be available very soon. As head author, he was joined by many other taekwondo experts, all of whom are extremely dedicated to highlighting all that this sport has to offer.

The mats at all 4 of our dojangs are ready for Belt Promotion testing, are you? Many of our members participate in this test of skill, technique and knowledge. Through their consistent dedication and hard work, it is always an honour to watch them succeed in their training and take their training to the next level.

Studies have shown us that there are benefits to both team and individual sports. Lucky for our students, they get the best of both worlds when hitting the mat. Throughout their training, individuals learn to challenge themselves all while being supported and cheered along by their peers and our fantastic community. We call that a win-win!

In addition to their ability to learn the art of taekwondo, progress made by each individual is dependent on the frequency and duration of time they dedicate to their training. *IMPORTANT UPDATE* Temporary closure of In-Person Classes except Red Deer Location. Efective Friday, April 30th ... Dear Master Rim’s Taekwondo Students & Families, It is disappointing to hear due to the Alberta government’s recent announcement today, Master Rim’s Taekwondo is required to transition to online training for the next 2 weeks. We all know how hard we work together to make our Taekwondo training safe by going above and beyond the restrictions. All in person classes will be switched to virtual classes and your masters and instructors will teach classes for their individual location’s students. Your current class schedules and your Masters & Instructors will remain the same but will be switched to online for this 2 week period. This will allow our Masters & Instructors to keep better track of their own students’ progress, and our students will still receive the same training from the Masters & Instructors they are familiar with. Please continue to attend your regularly scheduled class - just online instead. Please refer to the email from us for more detailed information. We know many of us are fatigued but we know the end is near. Hope everyone stays safe and healthy and thank you SO MUCH for your support and can not wait to welcome everyone back in person again! Dear parents, Please take a look at the Winter break online schedule. Dec. 28th, 29th, & 30th, online classes will be run by Instructor Liam and Instructor Sean (Schedule posted down below, second picture). All locations have sent out an email with the link and schedule, if you have not received it, please email your location. ... Happy Holidays and stay warm!!

GREAT NEWS!! After discussing with AHS and communication with our Provincial Sport Organization, we are excited to announce that we will be reopen on Monday, November 16th! As we are exempt from the 2 weeks closure as clearly stipulated in AHS guideline Section 4-(b), "an individual sport activity where participants can maintain a minimum of 2 metres distance from each other at all times."... Mask wearing will be strongly encouraged, starting Monday next week.

SW and NW Calgary Locations : As you may know, there was a tremendous amount of snowfall yesterday and last night and it's continued to today. Because of this, unfortunately, some of our staff members weren't able to make it to taekwondo. Please don't call the dojang as we will not be able to answer to phone. If you have any questions or concerns, please email your location. ... SW : [email protected] Nw : [email protected] Classes will still continue for today online. We are trying our best to resolve this situation as quickly as possible. Some of you tested last weekend and received a new belt, but not yet picked it up. We do not expect parents to drive in this weather condition to pick up belts as some of our staff was not able to even get out of their homes, so we have moved belt package pick up and merchandise pick up tomorrow, hoping the weather is better! You may also pick up the belt package in the new year, after the Winter Break if that works better for some parents. Please recall Office staff and Managers will not be in the dojang from Dec. 25-Jan. 3, but Instructor Liam & Instructor Sean will be doing online classes, Dec. 28th, 29th, & 30th. Schedule and link were sent out yesterday.
