As Ontario moves into stricter lockdowns, Matcom understands the feeling of anxiety and uncertainty. Most of our projects assist essential services, and as such we are prepared to help our clients as they have helped us. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have taken steps to protect our teammates and clients. In accordance with the CDC, WHO, and beyond, we are adhering to the following guidelines : - Increased sanitation of our office, warehouse, and servicing equipment... - Mandatory masks at all sites, indoor and outdoor - Project managers and office staff are to work remotely - Only if necessary, scheduled office visits to ensure less than 5 people and proper physical distancing measures are possible - Restricting non-essential travel Please do not hesitate to contact us with any inquiries. Our lines are always open. Go to matcom.com or call us at 416-667-0463. Our President, Matt Rix says "The important thing to remember is, we are all neighbours and we are all in this together. You are part of our Matcom family and we will do our best to make your needs and safety our priority." We have made it this far, and are #strongertogether. Take care, and stay safe, Matcom

A new blog post is up! Every year, Matcom hosts a Family Fun Day. In past years, Matcom families have joined together to celebrate at pumpkin patches and baseball games, among other fall-themed venues. In these unprecedented times, Matcom President Matt Rix found another safe way for employee engagement and appreciation. "There's really something special when we get the whole family involved. Not only does it highlight the tight knit community we have at Matcom, it also enc...ourages an open flow of communication between the field and office staff. As always, Matcom prides itself on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for its employees. This year, we took Family Fun Day home!" said Matt. The Matcom team sent in photos of how they were celebrating the first few days of autumn. While some went on hikes, others made their own pickles, carved pumpkins, and spent time at the cottage. Sharing these experiences at a safe distance made all the employees feel included, no matter where they were - the second best way to celebrating Family Fun Day altogether! With the holidays around the corner, we encourage everyone to find creative and safe ways to celebrate together. Stay healthy and stay safe, https://conta.cc/35Vb8aI

So Joe Biden Won...What does that Mean for Canadian Manufacturing? The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) have outlined what might happen with a new US President. Dennis Darby, CEO of CME said:... "The past four years have been challenging and unpredictable for Canadian manufacturers doing business in the United States, as witnessed by the renegotiation of NAFTA and the tariffs on steel and aluminum...With Mr. Biden, it might be easier for companies to understand how to adjust to the Buy America and Buy America ACT. While these are certainly still protectionist measures, there should be more predictability for our companies." (http://ow.ly/vCKO50Ch5LI)

A new blog post is up! Our Public Relations Intern spent their day at on site near Ancaster, #Ontario. This is what they had to say: "Last Friday, I joined Ken and Wayne at a site near Ancaster. I learned that there are so many ways a conveyor system can be used in a certain space. It is always impressive to see how different projects are using their space and unique conveyor systems within the industry. As well, I admire the versatility the Matcom team possesses. Just as th...ere is not one single prototype for conveyor use, there is also not one way to assemble them. Thank you to the Matcom team who warmly welcomed me on site. It is always a pleasure to see everyone in action." Read more about the visit here matcom.com/blog
