Stuck indoors with the rain? Why not enter South Dundas Recreation's Spring Art Contest and bring some colour to your neighbourhood? Open to South Dundas reside...nts under the age of 18. Get creative and you could have your art featured in the South Dundas park of your choosing! Create a landscape piece of artwork using any art medium and submit a photo to [email protected] by May 2, 2021 to qualify. Please preserve the original artwork since the winner's work will be used to make a decorative wrap for one of the trash collection cans in our parks! DO YOU HAVE A BASEBALL PLAYER IN YOUR FAMILY? With the end of Little League Baseball in our area, the Seaway Surge is stepping in to provide house league baseba...ll for players ages 5 to 18 - if there is enough interest. In Week 1 over 100 families registered their interest! So we are continuing to offer all families in our area the opportunity to be part of this fun sport. Chad and the rest of the volunteers at the Matilda Memorial Park Outdoor Rink have been working hard for your skating pleasure. The weather looks good for the last few days of the 2021 outdoor skating season and the ice is ready to welcome you. Remember to practice proper COVID protocol and enjoy the ice while you can!

Our volunteers were out late last night flooding the ice for everyone to enjoy today! There is lots of snow around the outside of the fence to make snowmen, snow animals, or snow angels while you wait your turn or just take a break We would love to see all your creations

Looking for ways to stay active? The South Dundas Lending Library is now accepting bookings for equipment. Hit the rink, tackle the snow and get outside this wi...nter. Grab the family for some winter fun! Enter the South Dundas Recreation Snow Sculpture Contest by submitting a photo of your snowman or other snow sculpture to [email protected] by February 16, 2021. The winner will receive a $100 gift card to a South Dundas business of their choosing. Contest Rules: Contest is open for South Dundas residents only. Build your snow sculpture in your yard or in any South Dundas Park. Be creative! Your sculpture can be any design you like; maybe create your favourite superhero or your favourite animal. Entries must be in by February 16, 2021. The winner will be announced February 18, 2021. Winner will get a $100 gift card to a South Dundas business of their choosing.
