Just FYI, The Canada Revenue Agency is expected to announce tomorrow that the income tax filing deadline for 2019 returns will be extended until June 1st, 2020. The deadline to pay your 2019 tax balance, without interest, is to be extended until July 31, 2020. At this point, we are still open for business as usual at Matrix, but if you would prefer to distance yourselves from public spaces, your tax information may be scanned and emailed to us at [email protected] or texted to 204-304-0354. Tax Tip: New for the 2011 tax year - The Childrens Art Tax Credit. This allows parents to claim up to $500 for each of their childrens art, music, or language lessons. Save your receipts!

Tax Tip: You can claim eligible medical expenses incurred in any 12-month period ending in 2011, (and not claimed in 2010). CRA also provides a travel and meal allowance if the appointments were more than 40km from your home. Save your receipts!
