In celebration of Earth Day, we wanted to share a few eco-friendly tips for you to consider as you start to plan your next event! Choose a venue that is centrally located - promote sustainable forms of travel including bike paths and public transportation. Look for a location within walking distance of restaurants and attractions for any out-of-town guests. ... Eat local incorporate seasonal, organic and locally sourced food as much as possible. Choose tap water over bottled, and serve food and beverages using china and real linens. Eliminate the paper trail use an event app to replace printed registration documents and collateral. If you can’t avoid printing entirely, make sure it is double sided. Encourage recycling make it easy for attendees by placing recycling bins in all meeting rooms. Collect name badges at the end of the day to re-use for your next event.
