This is the back end for access controls, elevator controls and a video intercom. All three of these systems work together to help control access in and out of the building. The access controls allows people with access to the building to move around freely to their designated floors via fob access. The elevator controls add a level of security to the office by restricting people to their assigned floors. Lastly, the front video intercom allows tenants to see and speak to the person at the front door before they decide to let someone into the building. This is the back end installation of 10 electronic doors, 5 remote controlled overhead gates, 1 single cab elevator, 1 Intercom, 2 sub-station intercoms and a 12 IP camera system. This entire system was installed in an already finished commercial building which required piping on the interior of the building to each door, gate and camera. Once this system was completed it was set up for remote access control via the internet so that everything would be able to be controlled off site. Another successful install from the Matrix Team! Our client wanted to secure their visitor underground parking by installing an electric gate but still wanted visitors coming to the building to have a proper way of getting into the parking area. So, as a solution we installed an intercom out near the entry of the building so that people visiting the building could buzz into their friends and be let into the parking area. On top of this feature we also integrated all of the new gate doors into the current door access system so that the FOBS currently being used would work with the new doors. By integrating the new doors with the old system we were able to save our clients the cost of purchasing over 900 FOBS. Another successful install by the Matrix Team! Our client was having trouble with people dumping unwanted garbage into the building dumpster. For a solution a gate was installed around the dumpster limiting its access. To still allow tenants use of the dumpster we integrated a FoB reader into the existing door controls of the building to control the garbage room door and programed it to close 30 seconds after no one was using it. We also installed a motion sensor LED in the room so there would be hassle free lighting for the area. Now the building doesn't have to worry about people dumping garbage and the current tenants have easy use of the garbage room with their currant building FoBs.
Another successful project has been completed by the Matrix team. We did a 14 FoB door expansion for our client who had some of their parkade building doors still using traditional keys. What we did was tap into the existing FoB system and expanded 14 additional doors throughout the building Switching over to FoB doors makes access easier for residents and if a FoB ever goes missing you just delete it off the system.
