2020 was a challenging year. The pandemic had impacted travel plans and photo adventures. But I did my best to adapt to the circumstances and in some ways that helped m photography. I recently took some time to reflect back on my 2020 photography and I decided to share My Favourite Photos of 2020. It was certainly an interesting experience. Thank you do those that supported me in 2020. I do hope you decide to continue along my photo journey in 2021.... https://youtu.be/ZvU1i0fXI4g

One Year ago I was in Banff National Park. For those that have not been to Banff, it is a magical place no matter the season. One key benefit of visiting in winter, is that there are far less crowds. On this particular day I was photographing Bow Lake. At this particular time of year, the lake was fully covered in snow. Yes there is a lake between those trees and the mountains. There is just so much to explore and photograph at this location. ... Funny story. The previous day I did a recon of the area and I noticed that the parking lot to Bow Lake was snowed in. In fact, I almost got stuck. But just up the road on the Icefield Parkway, there was a pullout / lookout. So on this day I parked at the pullout. I think you can see where this story is going. Yes, when I ended up walking down from the pullout to Bow Lake the parking lot was cleared. Speaking of stories, more about this photo and others are in my YouTube video. Hope you enjoy it. Please like, share and subscribe. It would be a big help. https://youtu.be/P8nPctjG1f8

Gatineau Park has over 361 sq. km of nature to explore. It is an amazing place to explore throughout the year. This fall I decided to explore and photograph the Meech Creek Valley, which I believe is a gem hidden in plain site. On this crisp fall morning I was treated to a wonderful blanket of fog that covered the valley. While waiting for the sun to burn away some of the fog, I noticed the warm glow of the sun lighting up the fog. I love the warmth and peacefulness of thi...s photography. If you want to see how I photographed this image and others that morning, please check out my video. https://youtu.be/vmRXcM5CqZ0 Bonus: In this video is a time lapse of this scene

I absolutely love how different every waterfall looks. It is even more amazing how different the same waterfall looks in winter. This is a photograph of Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park. Be sure to check out the video for how I took this photo plus to see what it looks like in summer. As the snow begins to fall here in Ottawa, I am reminded of the beauty of #johnsoncanyon in @BanffNP. I can't wait to go back. I love the beautiful ice formations with the water flowi...ng underneath them. Be sure to check out the video https://youtu.be/wHEGvM9V7Ck

Dunlop Falls in Gatineau Park is a magical place. It is a 1/2 km loop trail that surrounds the falls made by Fortune Creek. I was absolutely blessed to capture this photograph, as well as others on an outing. Be sure to check out the creation of this photo, as well as the others in my video https://youtu.be/NFFYOU7PdQo

I absolutely love the Canadian Rockies. The 1st time I drove into Banff National Park it felt like I was home. This photo is of Vermillion Lakes that I took this January. So much has changed since this trip. I can't wait to go back. I don't think there is a bad season to be there. It was this time last year that I was planning my trip. I hope my video playlist will help you plan your photographic adventure. https://www.youtube.com/playlist

New video about photographing Dunlop Falls in Gatineau Park. https://youtu.be/5rtxHvYLPEc In early October I took the opportunity to explore and photograph Dunlop Falls, which I consider a hidden gem of Gatineau Park. Short loop trail but with lots of photographic opportunities. Part 2 of this video will be out next Sunday. Be sure to subscribe to my channel to see it when it is released.... I can't wait to go back and photograph it with some nice winter snow. #waterfalls #landscapephotography #waterfallphotography
