Red Deer Public Schools will not pilot the K-6 draft curriculum. The focus for the 2021/22 school year will be on recovery as we recognize there will be learning gaps for many students as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and our priority needs to be addressing those and getting students back on track. Get active and support a great cause in Red Deer next month that directly makes a difference in the lives of our students! Registration is open for the Red Deer PCN Women's Fun Run, which takes place on May 8. There are 10 locations, six start times and three route distances! Funds raised will go towards The Mustard Seed's School Lunch Program which impacts students in our Division. Imagine coming to school each and every day without any food because there’s nothing in the cu...pboards at home. No child should ever have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Thanks to the dedication and efforts of The Mustard Seed, no student in Red Deer goes without a nutritious lunch every day, ensuring they are at their very best to learn. Recognizing Remembrance Day in our schools and remembering those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom is extremely important to students and staff in Red Deer Public Schools - in fact, it’s one of the biggest ceremonies on our school calendar each year.
