Today is last day of my show 'NO IDEA - Paintings From The Pandemic' at Gerrard Art Space. It's been a surprisingly good run. A big thanks to everyone who bravely came out to see the show and especially to those people who bought pieces and supported the arts in these difficult times. I am so touched. There is still time to take it in today. The gallery is open from 2-7pm. A reminder that if you bought a piece, today is the day to come and pick it up. If you would like to see the show virtually, including a video walkthrough, still images of the pieces and the show statement, you can check it out on my website at https://www.mattgwood.com/no-idea

Sold! "Farsight Eyeland", 10"x10", acrylic on panel. So happy to see this going off to a good home. I'm getting strong archipelago on the horizon vibes with a suggestion of a watchful eye. Also, subtle notes of black cherry and sandlewood. #noidea #paintingsfromthepandemic #farsight #eyeland #torontoart #torontoartgallery

Sold! "All Day" (detail), 60"x15", acrylic on canvas. This is just a detail shot of this 4:1 wide format work. One of four in the show with these proportions. This aspect ratio isn't exactly suited for Instagram, but it works great in all kinds of places in the home. This painting makes me think of all kinds of times of day, there's a little dusk, a little dawn, a little night time, all happening at once. Something that you could never experience in the real world, but can absolutely happen in the magical realm of a painting. #allday #landscapepainting #noidea #paintingsfromthepandemic #abstractart #homedecor #torontoart #torontoartgallery
