Waterfall at Sandcut Beach 18x24x2 oil painting on canvas In the summer of 2019, my husband John and I ventured out to Sandcut Beach for the first time. This rocky, sandy shore with a waterfall right on the beach is part of a Regional Park Reserve just off Highway 14 past Jordan River along the many beaches in this corridor on the west coast side of southern Vancouver Island right on the Pacific Ocean.... I am always very inspired by getting out there on these locations to feel the salt air, sand beneath my feet and the sound of those Pacific Ocean waves crashing ashore. Misty Afternoon Tonquin Beach Tofino 18x24x4 oil painting on canvas This past September some artist friends and I ventured out to Tofino for several days of Beach combing and photo shoots at Tofino. This beach is my absolute favorite one as it has the sandy beach, colourful rocks and great rolling waves coming ashore.... I am very inspired by getting out there on these locations to feel the salt air, sand beneath my feet and the sound of those Pacific Ocean waves crashing ashore. Tofino is located right on the Pacific Ocean mid Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada. A surfing capital of western Canada. There are many huge beaches here which I am working on more of this location in a series of paintings yet to come.
