Need Help. I need to be educated on Atlantic Salmon. Working on getting some fiberglass Miramichi Atlantic Salmon made for hole #3, the moving staircase(ie. Salmon swimming upriver) to decorate the hole a little. I know very little. The fiberglass fish will be between 17"-24"long. I am not made of money so I am scaling them down. Questions I have are: what should the height and width be? Are they silver/grey or brownish when going upriver? Why and when do they change colour? ...Should I make them male or female? Only picking one, as I think the fiberglass person makes a mold to make the 4 to 6 that I plan on buying. Any other information or ideas would be helpful. I feel you have waited long enough. I will be opening tomorrow (Wednesday, April 28, 2021) Every day from 11:45am to 9:00pm. Mini-Putt will be open next week. Sorry I still have a bit of work of maintenance left to complete. Covid rules are the same as last year. ... -Please line up outside(6ft apart). Posts will be in place to help you judge. -Front door will have a foot opener added. (soon) -Please wear your mask. -1 household bubble in the shop at a time. -Wear your mask inside the shop. -Hand sanitizer provided in shop. Feel free to use your own if you wish. -Place provided outside for drop off of golf clubs and golf balls. -Pic-Nic tables will be sprayed with bleach once a day. Let me know if you feel there is something else I should add to help to keep my scooping arm safe. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again. Hi everyone, I noticed in the cotton candy post people were mentioning a nut free option. I just picked up sealed thermal cups of chocolate from Chapman's. This should do the trick for some of you for the remainder of the season. They are small, but will do in a pinch when you want to join in eating ice cream with friends. It seems Cotton Candy Ice Cream has fallen victim to Covid-19. In my last 2 orders I have not received any. After the 1st time I sent an email asking when I would be receiving my top seller (Sorry Banana and Vanilla are not the tops sellers no matter how many times you tell me they are, this is directed at two specific people:) I received a response last night stating there is no production scheduled, which means they are having trouble getting ingredients. From past experien...ce this means it is gone for the rest of the Summer. I can try scooping the air from the empty space and help you visualize eating Cotton Candy (which would mean a wonderful profit for me) or I can try getting some Cotton Candy from Chapmans. It is a different colour. So I need some feedback. Has anyone tried Cotton Candy from Chapmans? How was it? And would you like me to start ordering it for the rest of the Season? See more

Hi all, I guess I should fix the font on the photo. It is now on the list of things to do. Open for the Season - May 16th, 2020 - 11:45am to 9:15pm Okay here is a tentative guideline for Maurie’s. Ice cream is OPEN. Mini-Putt..hopefully later next week.... -I have set up a bunch of the Pic-Nic tables leading up the the porch and the front door. -Each table is 6ft long, but I have also marked white lines on the gravel, to help with social distancing. -Please stop before the porch. This is the beginning of the line. -One Household Unit is allowed in the shop at a time. -Once in the shop, I have place the stanchions at an angle to push you toward the spray bottle filled with Triton Hand Sanitizer. I strongly advise you to use it, as there will be No Ice Cream For You if you don’t. If you understand that Pop Culture reference, I hope it brought a smile to your face. -I have placed clear barriers from the ceiling to the top of the freezers, to help with the distancing between you(my favourite customer) and us(your favourite servers) -The staff will be sporting the latest in high fashion non medical face coverings. Material donated by my Mother(One person’s trash is another person’s treasure) and sewn together by a friend of the family Joan Schrag(Thank You, people have been complimenting on how cool they look) -We are still Cash Only, but we use the hand sanitizer after each transaction, and pretty much after everything we do. -When you are exiting the building, Turn Left(towards the Mini-Putt) This will help you avoid running into the massive line up of people to come see me and not get ice cream. -We are still learning on how to do things and if you have any idea’s on improving the process please let me know by message or in person. If things get really busy I may start a "take number" system. Hi everyone, I thought that we all deserve a laugh today. I have a friend who talks in her sleep. So I would like to thank her for adding hilarity to my life these 30 some odd years. "So, my poor husband has not been sleeping well for the past couple of days, but not for the reasons that you might think. As you may or may not know, I have a tendency to talk in my sleep. For the past several days I have apparently been talking about my craving for the perfect sandwich and how ...Craig did not make the avocado spread for my sandwich properly. Well, last night I hit an all time high with my sleep talk as apparently I was planning my birthday dinner menu, and every time that I chose a dish, I would burst into the chorus of the Backstreet Boys song, I want it that way. Sigh.... I am amazed sometimes that the man actually married me." And wait there is more: "So you will all be pleased to know that I auditioned for American Idol in my sleep last night and I made it to Hollywood week. Craig was not so excited about my victory."

Every year I try to buy an interesting tree ornament for my Nieces, and of course I pick one up for myself. This is the one I bought for them last year, so I hope you enjoy. I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and a Great Holiday Season and I am looking forward to seeing you in a few months.
