The Ontario Paralegal Association funded Mr. McGuigan’s appeal with the hope that the court would outline the very narrow circumstances under which certiorari relief should be available going forward, and it did just that. In the future, cases like this will be litigated in the POA appeal court, where they belong, he explained.
