This day in 1974 Led Zeppelin attended an Elvis Presley show at the Los Angeles Forum in California. After a shaky start to the show, Elvis stopped the band and jokingly said: ‘Wait a minute, if we can start together fellas, because we’ve got Led Zeppelin out there, lets try to look like we know what we're doing.’ All four members of Zeppelin met with Elvis after the show, spending over 2 hours backstage. Elvis asked for all the group’s autographs for his daughter Lisa Marie.

As of today, Oct. 17, Nova Scotia has five active cases of COVID-19. Two new cases were identified Friday, Oct. 16. The two new cases are in the Central Zone and are both related to travel outside Atlantic Canada. The two individuals have been self-isolating, as required. Nova Scotia Health Authority's labs completed 1039 Nova Scotia tests on Oct. 16. To date, Nova Scotia has 104,392 negative test results, 1,095 positive COVID-19 cases and 65 deaths. No one is currently in hospital.
