Hey guys, hope you are all safe and well during this pandemic, I miss you all very much and I’m sure most of you are starting to get pretty messy ! Here’s an update as to what is happening within the Barbering and Hairstyling industry ! Next is a message from our president of the Barbers Association of NS, Brian Smith... To all members, I have been in touch with Dr. Robert Strang and Stephen McNeil! The provincial government is about to start on a broad sectoral consultation ...process to inform Nova Scotia’s COVID-19 recovery strategy and they have asked that the NS Registered Barbers Association be included in the consultation with organizations representing the personal services sector. Businesses, associations and industry will be asked to develop a framework outlining approaches to reopening and operating in a way that will continue to meet the important public health criteria. If anyone would like to have a say in these discussions when the time comes, please send me an email and send me your concerns and suggestions and when I talk to Dr. Stang, I can tell him what our industry is concerned about. To all valued customers , insight of the COVID-19 virus, I will not be accepting appointments as of now, until this virus is under control! Social distancing is paramount and we all need to adhere to this! Unfortunately, in order for me to do my job, self distancing is not possible, so regretfully I have to make this decision for safety of myself and of my family! Stay safe and hopefully within a few weeks this will all be just a bad memory and you all be lookin like sheep ... bahahaha!!! Maxine!
