You asked for it, so here it is: We have added a video to our online curriculum that deals specifically with regaining control of your reactive BFF through a technique called bubbling, this builds on other concepts we teach like layering distraction levels to proof commands. Realistic expectations are important here: will your reactive dog fully enjoy the company of strange and scary new pets they encounter on leash? Most likely no. ... Can you gain control of them to be calm and confident despite their triggers? Absolutely! That’s what this training focuses on. Too often, trainers get so involved in how the dog is progressing through obedience/behaviour modification, we often fail to ensure the owner fully understands the reason(s) behind some of the exercises. Update on Leo’s resource guarding: Leo’s family have been super engaged and consistent with his training since signing up for online obedience. He’s absolutely crushing the regular curriculum and has moved on to doing training outdoors to layer distraction. ... What’s a dog trainer to do?

Great news! Due to popular demand, we have opened registration for a 3rd puppy class, scheduled to begin Jan 10 from 4pm-5pm. The class will run for 6 weeks every Sunday and costs $150 tax included. A $30 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of signing up. Classes are held at Paw-some Adventures Inc. in Elmsdale. Our Winter obedience classes are almost full! We are down to 2 spots in both our 3pm-4pm puppy class and 2pm-3pm adolescent dog class. Classes start January 10 and cost $150 taxes in ($30 non refundable deposit is required to hold your spot). Our 1pm-2pm puppy class is full. Class is held at Paw-some Adventures Doggy Daycare in the Elmsdale business park and take place each Sunday for six weeks beginning Jan 10. ... Earlier today, a random person reviewed 70+ Canadian dog trainers on google with 1 star. Not surprisingly, this person has not done any kind of business with any of the other trainers I personally had a conversation with on this topic. Thankfully, google caught on and appears to have removed these reviews. Google reviews impact how a business gets promoted when people do google searches for services. This has a direct impact on our ability to be promoted or even get noticed ...by someone that needs the services we offer.
