We've pushed the tent raising to the Fall. The timing just didn't work out for this year. So no Spring league. The Summer season is still planned to start at the end of May. The tent will make an appearance for the Fall league like last year.

The Spring league (under a tent) will be delayed. Our plan is to run the 4 week Spring league within an 8 week period between April 5th and May 29th. The Summer outdoor league will start May 30th (this has not changed). Drop-in passes will coincide with the Spring league timeframe. At this point we aim to start the Spring league April 12th.

Winter is hopefully coming to an end soon so lets talk beach volleyball! Max Volley will be installing a tent over 4 courts for April and May to run a new Spring season! It will be well lit and heated. Registration will follow the same nights as the summer leagues except youth will play Saturday and Sunday mornings. We will run 4 week sessions to have flexibility in the case of Covid-19 restrictions and the Spring league will finish before the Summer league starts the end ...of May. Weeknight games will run at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Weekend games will run at 9am and 11am. League registration will include drop-in passes which will allow players to play at least 4 hours per week. (2 hours league, 2 hours drop-in) This equals to $5 per hour or less per player! Separate drop-in passes are also available for purchase. The deadline is March 22nd and games start April 5th, spaces are very limited..maximum 24 teams per doubles night, 16 teams for fours night. Check it out!

You have played beach volleyball in the sun. You have played beach volleyball in the wind. You have even played beach volleyball in the rain. But have you played beach volleyball in a tent???... Yes, you read correctly...beach volleyball in a tent! An exclusive MaxVolley offer! With 2020 being so crazy, we thought we would do something crazy and extend the beach volleyball season by pitching a tent over the courts! We will be setting up a huge tent to cover 4 Shefford courts for the month of October and maybe November. The tent will be illuminated and heated (as much as possible). Doubles and fours leagues will follow the same schedule as the summer Shefford leagues. Leagues will start the week of Oct 5th and run for 4 weeks. Space is very limited and the deadline is Sept 28th so register soon! (Only 16 teams per league) If the league fills up, register on the waiting list and if there are enough teams, we may be able to get a bigger tent. There will be two time slots of 2 hours for league play: starting at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. League registration will also include a drop-in pass for the players, which you can use to book available court time. League players will be able to play at least 4 hrs per week (2 hr league and 2 hr drop-in) which will equal to approximately $7.50 per hour per player! We are still in the waiting period to see when the league can start. We are hoping soon! Every Monday we update the league start staus on our website. In the mean time, the nets are up!!! Players who have registered can use them as long as physical distancing rules are followed including keeping 2m apart and a max of 5 people per court. Hand washing stations are available.

Due to Covid-19, we will not be doing the pay-in-person this year. For those who were planning to pay-in-person, we have two payment options: 1- Login to your account and pay by credit card but the regular price will apply. (no discount) 2- Send an e-transfer to [email protected] and pay the discounted fees of $290 for Doubles, $380 for Threes or $440 for Fours. ... Thank you and stay safe.

Due to provincial regulations, we will delay the deadline and the leagues one week at a time, until we are able to begin. New deadline: June 3rd. League starts the week of June 7th. ... This will be updated every Monday morning on our website, we will also send an email to inform you when we know we can start. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Due to Covid-19, we will delay the start of the leagues until the 1st week of June if restrictions are eased by then. The ranking tournament for new teams will be on Saturday May 30th. League games will start the week of May 31st on your respective night. This would give us 13 weeks of play plus 1 week of playoffs ending September 4th before Labour Day long weekend, which is a full season but we have little room for cancellations. (this year our schedule is intended to play... at least 12 weeks in a 14 week period, plus playoffs. Last year it was 11 weeks in a 13 week period) This summer happens to have more available weeks the way the calendar falls. The new registration deadline will be Friday May 15th. If we must delay the league further or cancel nights to due weather, several options will be available including: extending the league into September (on a voluntary basis), modifying playoffs, modifying the schedule to have more games per night, credits/refunds. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Kanata pay-in-person date, scheduled for March 25th, will be postponed to Tuesday April 14th. Currently, the Shefford pay-in-person date is still Tuesday April 7th. We will send a message closer to this date if changes must be made. At this point, the leagues will begin mid-May as scheduled. We contemplate the worst case scenario would be delaying the leagues by a few weeks. A decision regarding this will be made in early May. ... Thank you and continue to be safe!

June 30th tournament Hello Volleyballers! We are running a Coed 2’s Beach Volleyball Tournament this Saturday June 30th at Shefford. It’s supposed to be a hot and sunny day, perfect for beach volleyball! ... Thursday is the last day to register. You can register by emailing [email protected]. Cost is $70 per team. We have 7 teams confirmed and a few more pending, so plenty of spots still open! If you are an individual looking to play, feel free to contact us. Great season so far. Let's keep it up! A few things to remember: If your team will no show, please use the link at the top of your league schedule page to report this. ... The online result reporting is not ready yet, staff will continue to update the results for now. Score-sheets: please complete score-sheets appropriately by placing the scores in the correct order. example if team A lost to team B 16-21, make sure the score is written in the correct order: 16-21 (if it is written 21-16 we will read it as team A won 21-16) If a mistake is noticed on the schedule, please email us at least 24 hours before games. We cannot guarantee the correction will be made if we are notified within 24hrs of game time. If there are only 2 teams on a court, we have a new scoreboard that attaches to the net to make scoring easier...not having to try and remember the score throughout the game is great! See staff. Facility rules: NO GLASS containers on the sand area! NO SMOKING of any kind around the courts. A few leagues have a couple of spots available. Signing up for a summer league with Max Volley means you get to participate in at least 14 weeks of play, from May to August. You'll be playing 2 matches each night with a total play time of around 90 minutes. What better way to unwind after work and hang out with your friends, all while getting some great exercise squeezed into your day!
