In person gatherings will be very limited, but each of us can place a red dress or cloth in a public place, and take time to think ab...out what we can do to challenge and change the continuing high levels of violence that target Indigenous women, girls, and Two Spirit people. Thank you to ALL who were part of the Covenanting service last week with Rev. Shelly, Mayfair United Church and the Living Skies Region. Dear friends Advent is beginning this Sunday - we have been working on trying to create the best Advent experience possible in spite of our strange circumstances. AN ABUNDANT ADVENT AFTERNOON Join Rev. Shelly by Zoom on Sunday December 6th, 1:30 - 4 pm for a time of preparation and Advent retreat. There has been a lot of focus on our physical health and safety, and as a church community we want to honour that - as well as... care for our Spiritual and Mental Health. Although we cannot meet in a large group in person, we can still create a contemplative atmosphere, share some music, poetry and silence (as well as time for a short break) as we prepare ourselves and connect with others for the Advent and Christmas season. How can HOPE, PEACE, JOY & LOVE still guide our closing of this difficult year? How can we take time for reflection at a time when we would much rather be distracted?
