Congratulations Mayne Islanders! The Heritage Revitalization Initiative auction is now over. The auction raised over $31,000. This brings the total amount raise...d for Phase 1 of the Heritage Revitalization Imitative Project to $284,000 thanks to your generous support. We now have enough funds to complete the purchase of the property for the new Thrift Shop and expanded Museum. Our next step after completing the property purchase is to apply for rezoning of the property to Community Use. When that is complete we can open a new Thrift Shop. All of the purchasers of auction items have been notified and arrangements made to pick up their items. For people who donated items to the auction, tax receipts have been emailed. This Saturday is our belated Family Day event! 10am - 4pm in the Barnyard at Mayne Island Museum - Come on down for a tour of the barn and Mayne Island's agricultural history - Take a family photo on the heritage tractor ... - Fun take-home art activities for children ... and more! 2021 Membership for the Agricultural Society This year 's AGM on January 9 at 2pm will have to be a virtual event. For members to vote and participate in the meeting they need to have renewed their membership. It's hard to collect $2 online! So on Saturday a volunteer will be at the Thrift Shop in the Hall to sign up members for the year - still only $2. Members will receive a newsletter and a Zoom invitation so they can attend and participate in the meeting. AG Society Open House Cancelled November 14 Due to the PHO issued on October 26 we cannot safely hold the flow through open house event we announced in the November MayneLiner and we feel it is best to cancel it. We will be holding a virtual AGM On January 9 at 2pm where you can ask questions and all members signed up for 2021 can vote.

The Heritage Project Bake Sale is Saturday morning at the Market - 10 AM. Lots of delicious goodies baked with love by island volunteers.

WHAT'S FOR SUPPER? Don't know? Well we have the answer. Saturday mornings at the Mayne Island Farmers' Market we will be taking orders for Epicure Weeknight Mea...l Kits. $25 for 5 dinners plus a dessert. Proceeds go to the Ag Society's Heritage Initiative to raise funds to purchase the property next to the Thrift Shop so that we can expand and improve Thrift Shopping for islanders. See more

Last Saturday was the scheduled date for our annual Fall Fair. Unfortunately, we had to cancel it this year. But, we did hold a Scarecrow competition at the Farmers Market. Here is the winning entry created by Deb Foote and Garth Owen. Congratulations and thank you for participating. Thank you to the Campbell Bay Music Festival for putting on the Saturday afternoon concerts during the month of August. We appreciate you providing us with some much needed entertainment.
