Please note the definition of 'community' as described in the most recent list of Provincial restrictions. Pay close attend to the last line: "Nova Scotians should stay as close to home as possible". We live in a huge municipality, made up of many communities. Please stay in your community unless you absolutely must go out for essential reasons. This is about public health. It's about stoping this virus so we can get back to some sense of normalcy in the near future.... I know people are feeling anxious and frustrated, but the only way we can stop the spread of the virus is to stay home. In your house, around your yard, just stay home as much as possible. I know it sucks. I don't want to be home all day. I miss my friends and family, I miss going out to eat and hearing live music. But this is what we have to do to keep our community safe. Please, please think of the most vulnerable people in our communities before yourself. They need us to protect them. The Premier said it yesterday, stop looking for loop holes. Only go out for essential and required reasons. Here is the link to the most up to date list of restrictions: https://novascotia.ca/news/release/?id=20210507006
"I'm going to be honest with you, the volume of cases has exceeded the capacity of public health" - Dr. Strang -227 news cases reported, 200 positive cases yet to be entered into the database - Travel in and out of the Province is significantly limited - Lockdown to remain for the month of May ... - Kiddos to continue with online learning Another life lost. COVID needs to be taken seriously and we must be vigilant, friends. My heart is in my stomach as I think of the pain the family members of the deceased must be feeling. We are all sad, frustrated and tired but we must remain strong.
So proud of Hannah Kosick!! A brilliant Port Moriener, community volunteer, defender of the planet and now CBU grad and Valedictorian.
