It was a simple decision to become a founder in the Founders Circle. This is a great and unique opportunity for our community to help a local business get start...ed or expand operations. I am keen to support activities that create stronger commerce for the Parry Sound Area especially if it bolsters employment and community development. Most of my professional career was in the financial service industry, working at one of Canada’s largest banks in various roles. Over my banking career I have witnessed the challenges that entrepreneurs face when seeking funding. After retiring from the banking business, my entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and I started a small business that required funding. Despite having a background in banking and understanding the landscape, hurdles and mechanisms to obtain funding it was still the largest challenge I faced in starting my business.
