Physiotherapists have an opportunity to participate in a mixed methods study about physiotherapists’ beliefs about bodies and health! Below is an invitation from Patty Thille, a Physiotherapy faculty member at the University of Manitoba. Patty and Sandra Webber are co-leading the study and are looking for participants for an online workshop session! Last fall, we circulated a survey exploring Physiotherapists’ Beliefs about Bodies and Health. We would like to share the find...ings from the study as well as some resources with you, and hear your thoughts on the topic. We invite you to join a small group presentation and workshop we’re hosting about the project over Zoom at various times, between Nov 19 Dec 2, 2020. After presenting the study results, there will be opportunities to ask questions as well as reflect on the findings. Please note that we will collect the responses as research data, which will help us explore next steps in this research program. This means that sessions will be audio-recorded, and the discussions used as qualitative data. You will not be personally identified in any future presentations of this data. In addition to our discussions over Zoom, there will be opportunities to reflect anonymously via a digital whiteboard. Your responses will not be visible to other participants. We will take a number of steps to keep your answers confidential, which have been approved by the University of Manitoba’s Health Research Ethics Board. You are welcome to attend the session without providing reflective responses. Registering will serve as consent to include your responses with the research data. If you do opt to attend, there are 4 reflective questions that you can answer during registration. Those of you who answer these will be sent a follow-up after the session. If you complete these pre/post reflections, you will be offered a $25 e-gift card in thanks. To register, follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2C8W3LD In it, we ask a bit about you, and offer different times for you to choose among to attend. Many thanks!
