What a fantastic start to ManSEA's Towards a Sustainable Energy Future conference! Yesterday was the first installment of the conference: Solar Energy and Stora...ge Innovations, Energy Planning and Public Perceptions. The Q&A session (pictured below) was moderated by MEIA's Executive Director Jack Winram as part of our role as a supporting partner on this excellent conference. We heard from Daniel Lacovetsky and Jacob Kettne of Powertec Solar and Powertec Electric Inc. who presented on overcoming barriers to a growing solar market in Manitoba. Lorena Mitchell, President of Evolve Green shared how to design solar for the best ROI and current rebate and loan programs available in Manitoba; and Kate Robb, Grad Student at the University of Winnipeg talked about the Public perceptions of energy strategy development in Manitoba.
