FTTH PROJECT UPDATE Starting Monday, February 8, Directbore will be conducting the horizontal boring from Tsi Snaihne to Kana:takon. The crew will be on River Road, close to the current ice bridge. Community members are asked to be mindful of the construction zones. If possible, please avoid this area for the next week while the construction is underway.... Akwesasronon can expect: Possible traffic delays on River Road, just passed the ice bridge point in Snye Possibility of evening working hours Possibility of a section of Kateri Tekakwitha St. being partially blocked or closed off (notification will be provided to community members prior to any closure) Also, please note that pets may be sensitive to the vibration that comes from the boring. It is recommended to bring or keep dogs inside during construction. Nia:wen.

The Department of Economic Development, along with Information Services, Environment Program and Water and Waste Water have been working together to bring high speed internet connectivity to the community in the District of Snye. We appreciate the contractors working with us to bring this new infrastructure, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. JOIN MCA FOR FIBRE-TO-THE-HOME ZOOM INFO SESSION The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne will host a community information session on the Fibre-to-the-Home Project, wh...ich is currently being constructed in the Tsi Snaihne District. Director of Economic Development Kylee Tarbell and Information Services Manager Rhonda Adams will provide an overview of the project and be available to answer any questions you may have. The Fibre-to-the-Home Project is intended to bring reliable internet and technology to residents for greater connectivity. The project will eventually reach all three districts.
