Getting ready to host the McCaig Gladiators 10th Edition of the IceHockey Festival 11 teams Mark your calendars for this annual event At the Rosemere Arena Tuesday February 11th 2020

The McCaig Gladiators Hockey Team A was invited to participate at the Selwyn House elementary hockey tournament on February 6th & 7th 2020 held at the Westmount Arena in Westmount Montreal. The McCaig Gladiators got to play against two elite schools from Toronto ...Saint-Andrews College (SAC) & Upper Canada College(UCC) as well as Montreal teams Lower Canada College (LCC) ,Solomon Shecter Academy. Once again the Gladiators demonstrated sportsmanship, skill and teamwork... McCAIG was present despite the snowstorm closure on Friday...Good job every one...Go Gladiators!!

Another great performance at The RSEQ Sport Laval Futsal Tournament Monday January 29th 2020 with the 2 grade 5/6 Gladiators Co-Ed Futsal Teams... the teams finished in 2nd and 3rd Place & bring home the Silver medal and Bronze medal honours & more banners to hang up in our gym. Both teams played well and demonstrated skill and sportsmanship! The league consisted of Laval SWLSB Elementary Schools with a total of 13 teams and played in the gyms of Laval Jr. Academy. Way to go Gladiators!!

The McCaig Gladiators showcasing at the McCaig Open House on Saturday January 25th from 11am to 2:00pm 2020-the multitude of sports activities that take place at McCaig Elementary School for students to partake in...wow...McCaig is an awesome place to be!!! Stop by the Gymnasium and see for yourself - see that the McCaig Gladiators Sports program has lots to offer... Flag Football - We have a McCaig Gladiators Flag Football team that participates in a Montreal indoor league... during the winter. This is open to cycle 2 and 3 students. There is also intramural flag football at lunchtime. Every year, McCaig hosts a flag football tournament between teams from different schools in our school board. Soccer & Futsal- We have McCaig Gladiators Soccer & Futsal teams that participate in the RSEQLL Regional indoor league during the fall & Sport Laval winter festival. This is open to cycle 2 and 3 students. There is also intramural soccer at lunchtime. Every year, McCaig hosts a Soccer tournament between teams from different schools in our school board. McCaig also participates in several RSEQLL festivals. Basketball - We have McCaig Gladiators Basketball teams that participate in 3 leagues during the fall & winter. This is open to cycle 2 and 3 students. There is also intramural basketball at lunch. Every year, McCaig hosts the RSEQ tournament between teams from different schools in our school board and regional schools. ICE Hockey - We have McCaig Gladiators ice hockey teams that participate in the Sport Laval league during the winter & Montreal Elementary Private School League. This is open to cycle 2 and 3 students. There is also intramural ice hockey on Wednesdays after school at the Rosemere Arena. McCaig also participates in several Montreal Elementary Private School Tournaments. Every year, McCaig hosts International and Regional Festivals games between teams from different schools in our school board & Montreal private schools and guest teams from Japan, France,Korea etc. Floor Hockey - We have McCaig Gladiators floor hockey teams that participate in the Sport Laval mini league during the winter .This is open to cycle 2 and 3 students. There is also a very popular intramural floor hockey league at lunch. Every year, McCaig participates in RSEQLL and Sport Laval festivals between teams from different schools in our school board & region. Cross Country Running - We have a McCaig Gladiators cross Country running team that participates in the RSEQLL regional race in October. This is open to grades 4, 5 & 6 students. The team practices will in September & October during lunch.

The McCaig Gladiators B team competes at the19th Edition of the Selwyn HouseIce Hockey Tournament in Westmount Montreal-Friday January 17th 2020 Last year the McCaig Gladiators finished in 2nd Place with the Silver Medal .... This year we were going to this tournament without any expectations... The the team played all day and were on fire and ended up in the Finals, winning 6 games in a row finishing in 2nd Place taking home the silver medal against Academie Juillet.... The Gladiators worked hard, showed teamwork and skill and showed great sportsmanship once again- McCaig Gladiators had the opportunity to compete against private schools from the Montreal region against our usual rivals the LCC Lions and les Chevaliers du College Stanislas, the Selwyn House Gryphons, the Academie Ste-ANNE Dragons, Les Aigles from Academie Juillet, Ecole Bilingue Notre Dame de Sion, Kuper Academy and Akiva School. Once again another great hockey experience!!! Go Gladiators go!!
