JONES: So I’m instructing the witness not to answer your question because you’re badgering the witness. ... MR. SMITH: I’m not badgering anybody. Now, if you MR. JONES: I’ve stated my objection. BY MR. SMITH: Q. Am I badgering you, ma’am, at all? MR. JONES: She’s not answering that question. MR. SMITH: She can’t answer if she’s badgered or not? BY MR. SMITH: Q. Would you do the math manually or with a calculator or input it into some program? ... A. No, just with a calculator or adding machine, I guess, technically. Q. When you say adding machine’ do you mean you use something other than a calculator? A. Adding machine. Q. Okay. Like, a calculator or something else? A. I’ve heard it referred to as it’s not a calculator. It’s an adding machine. I’m not sure what the correct term is. Q. Maybe it’s something I’m unfamiliar with. But it was just a little thing that you would use to punch in numbers and add things up? A. Basically, yes, it was a calculator. (Source: NCRA, JCR, June 2018)
