As of Monday, December 21st Hamilton is entering lockdown. Under these lockdown regulations Chiropody/ Podiatry Clinics are allowed to remain open. We will continue to be open from the 21st - 23rd before closing for the holidays and plan on re-opening on Monday, January 4th 2021. All appointments this week will continue as scheduled. We ask that everyone who comes in for these appointments wear their mask before entering the building, to use hand sanitizer when you come in, and to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment to ensure limited contact with staff and other clients. Thank you all for your continued support in these uncertain times! We at McQuistan Chiropody Professionals are working hard to maintain the health and safety of our staff and patients through the many Covid-19 protocols that we now have in place. Infection Control & Safety Measures Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. We follow recommendations and guidelines made by the Chiropody College of Ontario, Public Health and the Occupational Safety and ...Health Administration. This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedure are up to date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and their family members. During this time, we have implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff. Clear plastic screens (sneeze guards) have been installed at the front desk to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens. Medical-grade high efficiency particulate arrestance (HEPA) air purifiers have been installed in the office to help improve the air quality in the area of all patients, family members and staff. Our Chiropodists and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment. Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, charging stations, children’s toys, and so forth, since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry. We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes physical distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patient appointments. We ask that you arrive for your appointment no earlier than 5 minutes prior to its start time. We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied, if possible. For those patients who need a guardian or support person to accompany them, we ask that this be limited to a single person.
