Writing in 150 competition - changes re: COVID19 We are not cancelling this event, instead we have jigged it a bit to ensure we are in line with Health Canada s...uggestions to help curb the spread of COVID19. On March 28th, at 10:59 am we will email you your entrant number (you use this instead of your name to ensure blind judging), a blank word document (which has been formatting for printing) and the theme on which you are to write based on the genre. Fiction writers write on the same theme, poetry writers write on the same theme, but it is different than the fiction writers theme, and so on. On or before 1:30 pm, you must email your submission to [email protected]. Your submission will then be emailed to the relevant judges. You will all be informed of the winners after the judging takes place. This will be the same for the song writers, except we will ask you to video yourself playing the song (using your phone) and will ask you to upload it to the A Bunch of People Facebook page (we will give you access) from there it will be judged. It will also be available to the public to view. This does mean however, that unfortunately the public portion of the day, where the song writing is judged and you would each have been given the opportunity to read aloud your pieces to the public in attendance, will not be happening. Thank you for your understanding!! Amanda Burger A Bunch of People Arts and Events
