**BOTTLE DRIVE** McCreary Minor Baseball will be having a bottle drive fundraiser Tuesday April 20th. Starting at 5pm, we will be driving around town picking up... donations of empty bottles/cans. Hey baseball parents, McCreary minor ball is working to deliver some type of baseball program this season, but we need to know what people are hoping to see, and what they are willing to commit to. Our options are something along these lines;... 1) Practice during the week only for the rest of June and July (7U for only 4 weeks) 2) Practice during the week for June & July, and then exhibition games against other communities on weekends, as agreed to by the team (once Baseball MB approves game play) 3) No baseball season this year If you could please respond asap, the board will have a better idea of how to provide the programming you are hoping for. Our McCreary association is heading out to Kelwood this Friday May 29, 2020 to pick up bags by the Kelwood dump as a fundraiser. We could use a few extra hands! We’re planning on meeting at The Barn at 6:30pm. Please let us know if you can make it. We’ll make sure we stay under our 50 people limit. Gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided!

McCreary Minor Baseball had plans for a Homecoming Cookbook fundraiser this year. Now with Homecoming postponed until 2021, we have decided to go ahead with a 2020 Quarantine Cookbook instead! Although it seems we will not be able to have a baseball season this year, we still need to raise money for projects out at the diamonds. We are asking people to submit their favourite recipes to be included in our cookbook. These can be old favourites or new recipes that you have creat...ed during the lockdown! We would also like recipes for fun things for kids to do, such as playdoh and slime! You can submit recipes directly through the website at www.cookbookprinter.com (log in using the username ‘Marlins’ and the password ‘baseball’, click the ‘add recipe’ icon and follow the instructions. We can also accept handwritten or typed recipes. These can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Box 149, McCreary, MB, R0J 1B0. You can also hand them to any board member Christina Law, Marc Hazlewood, Marlene McNarland, Nikki Devonald, Marti Borne, Liz Roncin or Jennifer Sellman.

We will be doing a Bottle Drive to raise funds for McCreary Minor Baseball on Thursday May 14, 2020 from 5pm onwards in and around McCreary. If you have empty beer bottles and cans that you would like collected, please have them bagged or boxed and placed at the end of your driveway.
