#FlashbackFriday to 2014 when our team completed the Ottawa Torah Centre (OTC)! Our firm teamed up with Hobin Architecture to complete this new 1-storey, 12,530 f.t.2 building, in order to allow OTC to continue to expand and serve the community! The building is comprised of steel framework with a masonry veneer, stone cladding and composite aluminum panels for exterior finishes, and required different ceiling height levels, as well as a combination flat and sloped roof. A huge shout-out goes to our teams completing the interior renovation for Ottawa Inner City Health at the Shepherds of Good Hope building! Both our management and field teams have been working tirelessly to ensure that COVID-19 policies have met by all workers coming onto site as well as ensuring the smooth execution of the project! Well done! This renovation includes the demolition of the interior basement space, followed by all new mechanical and electrical, plumbing, drywall, millwork, and all interior finishes. The new medical facility will be an imperative part of the Lowertown area in Ottawa.

Not only will the The Corporation of the Township of Minden Hills new Recreation Center be home to the S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena, it will also house an elevated walking track, office space for the township staff, and a new gymnasium! After almost 2 years, our team has completed Minto Group’s Skyline residential development in the Nepean area! A huge thanks goes out to our friends at PR-TY architects inc. and those involved! The original building was subjected to a fire in on a cold day in 2017. All new 32 apartments are wood frame construction, built on the existing foundations, separated into two 16 unit blocks by a masonry wall. All units are two levels; lower units are split between the semi-basement... and ground floor, while the upper units utilize the two upper floors. Our team also completed the underground services, site works and landscaping package. As everyone is aware, the impact of COVID-19 over the past month has significantly affected so many people, including those closest to us. At MBC, we want to assure everyone that we are doing everything in our power to help flatten the curve. The MOL has reported on all our active sites with no issues which validates the effort and protocols we have all adopted here at MBC.
