Merry Christmas! MCEC staff are honoured to serve you throughout the year and we pray that your Christmas will be safe and wonderful as you celebrate and look for the Christ Child this season.

Meet Rebecca Penner, youth pastor at Bethany Mennonite Church in Niagara. Over the last seven and a half months there really hasn’t been any normal. Things kept shifting. We would bake together I would do a little cooking show with them and we’d all cook in our own kitchens. Or we would do crafts where I would put together craft kits and drop those off. I think it is the process of everything changing again and again. And also realizing that within the current context not e...verything we try works for every single youth. It is really easy to get kind of down in this whole process and just feel like these events are really awful. As long as you’re trying, because I think ultimately what matters is that we’re still just finding ways to be a community with each other. What shifts have you made in youth ministry?
