CESL Placement Tests: The McGill Writing Centre (MWC) will be holding placement tests in September for students wishing to take CESL 300, CESL 400, or CESL 500 in Summer 2021. The schedule of placement tests is as follows:... o Friday, March 26, 2021 02:00 pm o Tuesday, March 30, 2021 03:30 pm o Wednesday, March 31, 2021 01:30 pm o Thursday, April 1, 2021 10:00 am o Tuesday, April 6, 2021 03:30 pm o Wednesday, April 7, 2021 10:30 am The placement tests will be held online. For further information and to register for the placement test please go to the website at https://www.mcgill.ca/mwc/courses/placement-tests. Please note: taking the placement test does not guarantee a place in a course. Registration for courses is on a first-come, first-served basis. The purpose of the test is to ensure that you take the CESL course that is most appropriate for you and from which you can get the most benefit. There is no need to study for the test and no reason to misrepresent your ability. The test takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. You will receive the results of your placement test by email within several days. Once you receive the results, you can register for the indicated course immediately. Thank you
