Over the past pandemic year, the way we connect with others has significantly changed. How can we physical distance ourselves to keep safe, while continuing to learn, care about-and-for others and maintain a feeling of belonging? As we navigate these new territories, we are compelled to ask ourselves about alternate and genuine ways of creating community. How can we create a culture of genuine caring and engagement, and dismantle the do-gooder narrative within our commu...nities? McGill Community of Lifelong Learning (MCLL) is a peer-to-peer volunteer organization where members find meaning, social connections and true sense of belonging. Meet MCLL volunteers as they share their stories of building and maintaining community that feels like a second family. Panelists: - Brian Webber - Debbie Mercier - John Felvinci - Marjorie Northrup Learn more about McGill Community of Lifelong Learning: https://www.mcgill.ca/co/mcgill-community-lifelong-learning

Who's ready to leave 2020 and focus on the future? Why wait till new year to set your intentions for 2021? We will be discussing how to visualize our goals through a vision board. A Vision Board is a way to sell your own ideas to yourself and to allow the magic of manifestation to work in your life.... Having made my own Vision Boards since 2014, I was surprised to work on the most important tasks, procrastinate less, direct myself for what I want and eventually move forward to get a lot of my dreams realized. This workshop aim is to give you the space you need to intentionally define your goals and create a Vision Board that will transform your professional and personal life. What you will need: 1. An open mindset 2. Foam Board / Cardboard Sheet, Markers, Pens/ Pencils, Stickers, Positive words, Magazines, Photos, Glue Stick or Taps and Scissors. The Facilitator: Carla Marrouche is a Lead Facilitator, Corporate Recruiter, Public Speaker, Mental Health Advocate and Traveler. Currently, she works at Brother Canada as a Corporate Talent Recruiter.
