The new term season is here, and with it, Samizdat is now accepting submissions! Submissions will be open from now until February 7th. Samizdat accepts essays on Russian literature, culture, history, and politics, as well as short fiction and poetry. Samizdat accepts and publishes works in English, French, and Russian. There is no minimum grade requirement, but as the selection process is competitive, accepted works typically are around an A- in a 200-level class, or B+ in a ...300- or 400-level class. Please send all submissions to [email protected] with your name, class, and a one sentence description of your piece. We look forward to reading your work soon!

We are honoured to present you a new project of partnership between RUSS and ESN SPbSU (СПбГУ).We will now be offering a tandem program for students of McGill University and Saint Petersburg State University where students can practice their Russian with native speakers, and where you can in exchange help them practice English (or another language).
