In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, DriveSafe led the coordination to donate any medical equipment or tools that student groups had for our operations. In partnership with McGill Student Emergency Response Team - MSERT, we were able to donate 8 700 gloves, 50 N-95 masks, and five boxes of pizza sponsored by alto_restaurant to the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Fondation CUSM - MUHC Foundation. As students, it is difficult to provide medical or financial assistance to t...he ongoing situation but our team wanted to do our part to flatten the curve and provide what we can with the resources that we had. We hope that this initiative will be an example of a call-to-action to other student organizations across the country and the world to not limit themselves in what they can do because of their age or status as students but do their part and help where they can. On behalf of DriveSafe, a huge thank you goes out to the hospital staff (among other essential workers). Thank you very much for your tireless work on the front lines of this battle against COVID-19. Words cannot express the gratitude and sincere appreciation for the amazing work that you do 24/7 to ensure our health and safety.
