Another customer with leaking through their thermopane install. In this case we need to remove the interior metal stops, glazing tape and thermopanes to re-seal these units before the client experiences further damage. Unfortunately these custom units were installed incorrectly with the wrong sealing materials. Now 5 years down the road the leaking has caused damage to the interior walls, framing and engineered hardwood. Good thing we caught the issue before ALL the thermo units were in need of complete replacement! This customer had a handyman install the bathroom exhaust without proper ventilation or insulated duct. Big no-no in Canada. We will be swapping it out, installing the proper exhaust trap on the roof, remediating the mould and taking care of all the interior drywall damage.
