Opened a fully functionable 24hour Fitness Centre with wifi on site! Purchased new commercial fitness equipment Purchased new tv’s, sound system, Bell satellite and karaoke system for the Rec Room Upstairs! Created and facilitated Rec Room Upstairs rentals! Purchased sports equipment for indoor sports! Opened the Outdoor Multisports Complex! Childrens Pond Hockey Kicks for Kids Soccer Created a Facebook account, and email money transfers! 2021 Goals? Upgrade/replace the Hamelin-Leiding Playground Purchase new commercial equipment for the Fitness Centre Hire a summer student

Good morning & Happy Friday!! Unfortunately we don’t have good news about the reopening of our fitness centre facility just yet! As part of the Province of Alberta’s path forward, restriction changes will come into effect in steps, based on hospitalization benchmarks.... Effective February 8, 2021, Step 1 changes will be implemented. The Provincial Government has only allowed one-on-one training to be implemented. Individual workouts without a trainer are not permitted at this time. With that being said and with these restrictions in place, we cannot open our facility. Sadly we will remain closed to the public until restrictions are eased further. We will keep everyone posted We hope you have a great day and continue to stay safe! Thank you!

Hey there! We would like to make an update for the reopening of the fitness centre! Unfortunately as of today the Premier announced that current health measures will be extended at least until January 21/2021. We will notify everyone when it is safe and the restrictions are lifted to be able to reopen Continue to be safe and we hope to see you soon!

Hello! As a reminder today is the last day for the fitness centre! If you have anything you need from there please go and grab it today! We will be doing the full clean so the gym will be closed by 8pm TODAY. Sorry for any inconvenience and please continue to be safe! Good morning! It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that due to the New COVID restrictions we will be forced to shut down this Saturday the 12th until further notice. They say 4 weeks is the minimum time for shutdown. You will have until this Friday to go and grab anything you need, we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you! When we are allowed to reopen we will let you all know! Be safe & Have a good Christmas!

Fitness Centers have been included in the Phase 2 Covid-19 re-opening plan as announced on June 9th. We will not be able to meet the June 12th inaugural Phase 2 launch date but are striving to open as soon as we can! Please be patient while we work towards re-opening and following public health guidelines:)

After careful review of recent government recommendations (schools closing etc) the Rec Board has decided to do our part to help keep everyone safe. We've decided to close the Fitness Center as of midnight tonight, Monday March 16th (until further notice). If you require anything out of your lockers, please pick them up before then. In regards to your membership, here are your options: 1) We will simply pause your membership until we can re-open. 2) Receive a prorated refund..., if you wish to cancel your membership. Our final Chase The Ace evening turned out to be our most successful one yet. The Legion was packed with excitement as patrons waited in anticipation to see wh...o would be the lucky nightly winner. It turned out that Jackie Bouchard would have some good fortune shine down on her as her ticket was pulled guaranteeing her $465 and affording her a chance to find the Ace of Hearts and a shot at $3,528!!! Unfortunately for her it was the 9 of Clubs that would make an appearance last night. So that concludes our fundraiser for this winter. The jackpot of $3,528 will be donated to Smoky River Palliative Care. A truly deserving charity that benefits our entire region. We wish to thank our volunteers and non profit societies for making this all possible. More importantly, thank you to each and every one of you who came out to socialize, laugh and donate each week! We are confident we will see you all back next winter!
