For those who think that since new video cards are almost impossible to get, they should get an older model: (because I get this question daily. I also get asked whether I have any extra 3000 series cards daily. Or sometimes people ask how many I have in stock.): 3000 series were introduced in September 2020.... Manufacturers can't produce enough 3000 series cards to keep up with demand. So nobody is putting their RTX 3000 manufacturing capacity on hold in order to produce older, 2000 series cards. That means, if there are any 2000 series on the market, they are old, used ones. They haven't been made in many months. Because of the extreme demand on the new cards, even the used market is constrained. If you had an old card, you could sell it in a matter of hours for nearly what you paid for it 1 or 2 years ago. So no stores are going to have any just sitting around. You can find used ones on sites like Ebay. Or get lucky and find one from an acquaintance of yours who doesn't know the market and doesn't need it anymore. If you want a new card, all you can do is get in line and wait for supplies to improve. Send me your email address and I will add you to my list of people waiting. Computer not running well? It might be a good idea to check your liquid cooler once in a while. This is a 3rd gen i7 so it's a little long in the tooth. It looks like it's never been cleaned. The radiators were clogged. The pump leaked. I'm not sure that the videocard was snapped all the way in. And yes, I see the one stick of RAM that appears to be part way out.... We'll see whether it will ever run again.
