Volunteers, you’re the backbone of our club. A sincere thank you to everyone who helped open the trails in the early winter, offered to help marshal the parade when we thought we were needed, and all who cut wood throughout the season. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you

The SledTown ShowDown competition hasn’t ended just yet! Round 5, semifinals are underway and we feel this beautiful province of Alberta is worthy of the SledTown ShowDown ‘Champion of Western Canada’ award. Alberta has an abundance of snowmobile trails that take you from North to South and East to West. With the purchase of a ASA membership trail pass, you can tour the province on a groomed trail viewing the breathtaking scenery it has to offer. This trail system was built ...by good people coming together advocating for the sport of snowmobiling in our province. Albertans are known for their provincial pride, and with that we ask... Sno-Drifters are calling on all Alberta snowmobile riders and ASA members to join in the fun! Lets ensure Alberta wins the Western Canadian FINALS. We’re up against Saskatchewan and already have a great lead, lets keep this momentum going - we got this! Click the link to vote: https://snoriderswest.com/sledtown_showdown

Friends in Whitecourt share the same struggles, unauthorized OHV’s damaging club trails. Volunteers build trails, volunteers maintain them. Don’t take volunteers for granted. We are better than this!

Sno-Drifters, we see your posts, we feel the pressure and we understand the importance of our groomer. Due to the timing of this incident, we have been working against holiday shipping schedules and business hours, which hasn’t been in our favor. We are hoping to be back in action and continue our trail grooming in the next few days. Rest assured, when the groomer hits the trail we will have a celebratory post for you all!! Thank you for your continued patience, Sno-Drifters Executive

Members, our team has been working diligently on several projects this past week. Here’s an update from our club V.P Scott Neale on the Thickwood trail as industry continues to work in the area. -As many are aware, industry has been working around our Thickwood Trail area. From our staging area to 'H' corner was within a pipeline Right Of Way, which is reserved for industry to access their equipment and facilities when required. Normally we can negotiate with industry to mi...nimize impacts to our trails during the winter construction season, but due to the location of our trail and the urgency of the pipeline project, there was not an option to keep the trail intact. The Sno-Drifters are actively working with industry to get a trail built to H corner that we can use for the season. Please note, 'H' has a winter road crossing with signage being placed marking the intersection and making it safe to cross over to the rest of the trail. Lastly, we can finally announce that our Thickwood trail has been cleared of downed trees. A huge thank you to our T.C’s and many dedicated volunteers for your efforts to clear all of the downed trees safely. We’ve had many members step up this year to assist and your efforts do not go unnoticed. We expect all trails to be fully opened early in the New Year for your riding enjoyment! Ride safe this weekend and Happy New Year

GROOMER - maintenance update Members, the groomer repair is expected to be completed soon. We are awaiting one additional part which is now scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Our Board Executive, along with Leon's Heavy Equipment understand the urgency for grooming to be completed promptly. We are all riders eagerly awaiting to ride beautiful groomed trails ourselves! Again, we ask for your continued patience as we complete the final stage of this repair. ... In the mean time, please ride slowly and safely until our trails are groomed and announced ‘open’. Thank you, Sno Drifters Executive
