With the latest measures being put into place we kindly ask: Check in on our elders or others in self isolation. Ask them if they need anything. If they require items, drop it off on their outside steps/porch. Practice social distancing, stay 2 meters/ 6 Feet apart.... Wash your hands frequently. Contact 811 if you have symptoms. Please follow the directions put forth by our Health Professionals. Call, text message, FaceTime, your family and friends. Stay in touch. Thank a front line worker, they are ensuring we all stay safe. Although these are stressful times, we will all get through this together with compassion and understanding.

NOTICE: All Mi’kmaq Confederacy offices will be closed to the public until further notice. This measure is being taken in response to the serious and expanding ...concerns about COVID-19, and to do our part to limit the spread of the virus. Group meetings on reserve will also be cancelled until further notice. The staff of the Confederacy will continue to work but will be doing so remotely to protect the health of everyone. Should you need counselling services, please get in touch with front-line service providers by telephone or email. Please also follow the advice of the Chief Public Health Office as we work through this challenging time. We will update the situation as we can. Wela’lioq See more
